Menorca is the most Northern of the Balearic islands, located east from Castellón in the mainland Spain and South of Montpelier. The island is small - 30 miles by 12 miles- at its widest point. Nowdays its population is of  70.000 inhabitants. In Menorca you find lots of different influences from various conquests in the past (Romans, Arabs, Turquish, French and English.)

On the 8th of October 1993, Menorca was declared  " RESERVA DE LA BIOSFERA"  by UNESCO, thanks to its natural characteristics.

Geologically it is divided into two parts:

NORTH or TRAMONTANA

Formed by wild cliffs punished by the the wind which also helps in the formation of its wonderful caverns.

SOUTH OR MITJORN

Sheltered from the prevailing stronger Tramontana or North wind , the southern coast has many beautiful white beaches.

In Menorca you can enjoy a great number of activities one of them diving, that will lead you to discover the fascinating mediterranean underwater world.
